I think the fall is my favorite time of year. I enjoy the change in weather and I enjoy the pre-holiday rush. And I enjoy photographing high school seniors. Jonathan's senior session was a blast!
These music shots were so much fun! And let me tell you, the kid can wail on the guitar!
Thanks, Jonathan, you did great! Best wishes on a fantastic senior year.

Heather and Rob's Charleston, SC, engagement session
There are not very many places that I enjoy photographing at more than Charleston, South Carolina. So I was super-excited for Heather and Rob's e-session recently.
Thanks so much, guys. You did great! Can't wait for your wedding in just a few short weeks!

Isabella in Atlanta
I recently had the opportunity to teach at a small portrait workshop in Atlanta. For two days, the mornings were dedicated to lectures and the afternoons were slotted for hands-on practice. I was fortunate to have a great little model, Isabella.
As I was photographing her I said, "Bella, you're beautiful," and she looked over at her mom and then back at me and said with confidence, "Beautiful on the inside AND out!"
Thanks, Bella, you did great!

Mitchell and Blythe
It's easy to take family for granted. That is until they move 600 miles away. We enjoyed visiting my brother's family just outside of Chicago in August. For quite some time they had been asking for portraits of their children, and so we "scheduled a session" with Mitchell and Blythe. Little Brynley was too small to participate in an outdoor session. Hopefully we'll have some pictures of her to show around the holidays.
Blythe had just celebrated her second birthday that week, so the shoot was supposed to be about her.
But Mitchell was too much of a ham to let her have the spotlight.
The birthday girl, not to be outdone by her older brother....hahahaha. I think she got that pose from her father.

Kingston and Brooklynn, twins
It's so rewarding when our wedding couples call us at some point down the road and ask us to come and photograph their children. That's when I'm reminded that we truly have the best job in the world.
Meet Kingston and Brooklynn.
And their proud parents, Kathy and Christian.
Oaky, fast forward a few months and here we go again...
These guys are so much fun! Thanks, Kingston and Brooklynn for letting me come and hang out. Here's hoping we can do it again sometime!

Scott, high school senior
Scott is a lot of fun, and I was thrilled to do his senior portraits.
My favorite... probably because I have absolutely no wakeboarding skills whatsoever.
Thanks, Scott, you did great! All the best for a fantastic senior year!
