Lilly and David
Yesterday we had the honor of shooting the wedding of Lilly and David. It was a beautiful wedding and we had so much fun. David and I have known eachother since college, and recently we've been fortunate enough to get to know Lilly. They're such a sweet couple. The wedding was held at Heathrow Country Club in Lake Mary. It was planned outdoors overlooking a lake, but the steady downfall of rain brought the ceremony indoors. The bride and groom's go-with-the-flow attitude was amazing, and what a blessing it is to realize that no matter what happens, after the wedding they'll be married just the same and ready to begin the greatest ride of their life.
Speaking of rides, they drove away from the reception in a Jaguar! After the wedding was over we met downtown for a few shots of the bride and groom alone...with the car.
Joy and I are so excited for the two of you and we wish you all the blessings you deserve. (Your slideshow will be posted after you return from Whistler, BC...have fun!)

Tyler's first Christmas
On Monday we went over to our friends' home, Greg and Trish Edris to do their Christmas photographs. Greg and I are golfing buddies, but we haven't found much time for that lately. Anyhow, their son, Tyler is about three months old. It wasn't that long ago when Graycen was that age and I remember it well. So I've had lots of practice working with babies over the past few months and I knew what I was in for. :-) But the little guy did so well...I was amazed. He was on his best behavior and even smiled on cue. We're so happy for them and their recent addition to their family. Children sure are a blessing. And good friends are too.

Favorite people
It's not often that we post our personal stuff on this blog...that's typically reserved for our family blog. But this weekend when we were headed outside I grabbed a few quick shots of Joy and Graycen. It's hard to believe that this precious little girl is already seven months old. WOW!
As far as she's concerned, two teeth are pushing through, which she isn't very happy about. Her favorite activity is to watch Sulley. She'll just stare and point. And then if he gets excited and starts barking at something outside, she'll laugh and giggle. It's really fun. What a blessing she is, and every day I stop and realize how lucky I am to have both of these girls in my life.

Family fun
This weekend we went to Winter Park with our friends Brian, Gail, and Owen to do some family photographs. Brian is a talented videographer that I've blessed to know and work with for a couple years now. Gail is a full-time mom, which is quite a task indeed. She and Brian are equally talented in their respective areas. Owen is two years old and he's such a fun little guy...so much energy! We spent about an hour along Park Ave and then we headed to their home to do some shots by the Christmas tree. We all had a great time.

WPJA Membership Acceptance!
We found out that we have been accepted into the Wedding Photojournalist Association. We are so excited and feel so blessed. This is the quote from their website (in the Bride and Groom section):
"The WPJA at a glance: The Wedding Photojournalist Association puts the best wedding photographers at your finger tips, by granting membership only to the most talented professional wedding photographers in the world--photographers who focus solely on using their documentary photography skills to capture ‘the moments’ of your wedding day. WPJA photographers are an elite group. This is a highly screened, critical organization. Less than 5% of wedding photographers out there qualify for membership."
We can be found specifically listed in FL, TN, and SC in their website for weddings although we photograph nationwide.
We have photographed weddings in these states: Maryland, Ohio, South Carolina, Colorado, Georgia, many in Tennessee and of course, Florida. We are willing to travel for worldwide destination weddings. We will be listed under the Traveling Photographers area soon. Click on the link below so you can read all about this wonderful organization.

Congratulations Angie and Rob!
Angie and Rob had such a lovely wedding. What a beautiful couple...you guys should be models! Their wedding was held at Mead Gardens, a local park in Winter Park. The weather was perfect for an outdoor wedding and everything was so nice. In between the wedding and reception we rushed over to Rollins College for a few additional shots.
We especially want to thank Angie and Rob for being a part of a special project that we're working on. Stay tuned and you'll find out soon!
Thanks so much guys, you're the best. And I'm very happy your cake didn't fall over. :-)

Congratulations Jennifer and Brad!
Jennifer and Brad were married at Isleworth Country Club. What a beautiful wedding at a beautiful location! Everything about the wedding was spectacular, from the colors to the flowers to the bride's dress. Simply amazing. The wedding was coodinated by Nancy Thayer, of Weddings Unveiled. Congratulations to both families on a wonderful event. And Jennifer and Brad, may God bless you as you begin you new lives together.
Summer and Ezra Engagement Shoot
Summer had been telling me about Ezra's 1970 Caddy for quite a while. I was curious to see how we were going to photograph them with the car. But I'm so excited with how things turned out. What a fun couple and what a sweet car. Of course they were great to work with and we had a lot of fun. One of the funniest shots from the shoot was when Ezra wore his "Is your name Summer cause you're hot!" shirt (check out the slideshow below). We look forward to your wedding in St. Pete. I know it's going to be wonderful.

Christine and Todd
Christine and Todd found us through their friend Carmen, who is getting married next fall. They were married a few months ago, but wanted some fun casual shots with each other. So we went to our two favorite locations, Park Avenue and Rollins College. They were great to work with and we had so much fun. The last shots that we did, laying in the grass, are some of my favorites. And hopefully nobody but us will notice how wet the grass was. :-)

Nadalie and Bengene Wedding Photoshoot
What a beautiful couple! When Nadalie and Ben got married a few weeks ago it was so hot that they barely had the energy for outdoor pictures. So following their honeymoon, they came back again for another shoot. It was early in the morning, but what excellent results. Thanks, guys, for taking time out to do this, it was a blast! I can't wait to get your album back. It's going to be phenominal.
Congratulations to Kim and Robert!
Atlanta OSP South November 6-8
We just returned from spending a couple days in Buckhead (Atlanta) with some of the best photographers around. It was a small group, about 20 of us. One traveled from California, two others from New York, and a couple from Missouri and Arkansas. It was an awesome time. All the photographers were from OSP, a forum that we participate in. We now consider many of them our dearest friends. The amount of talent that was present was incredible!

Maureen and Colin's engagement session
We met with Maureen and Colin for their engagement session early in the morning. This was actually Part II of their engagement session. The first time we actually ran out of sunlight in the evening. But we're so glad they came back for more. They're so fun and spontaneous and it just makes working with them that much more fun. We shot at several locations along Park Avenue in Winter Park and that combined with what we had done before by the lake at Rollins College. I love the Coca-Cola shot, guys! So glad you were quick on your feet. You never know when a nice prop will drive up!
Maureen and Colin are getting married in February in Winter Park. We're excited to be working with them and we're really looking forward to their wedding.

Denise and Gary Engagement Shoot
It's always fun to photograph people you've known for a while. Gary and I were friends in College several years ago. After school we went in different directions, but when he and Denise decided to get married, they called. Joy and I are so excited for the two of you and we look forward to your wedding. The engagement shoot was a blast and your photographs turned out great. Wonderful job you two! The big day is coming up soon.

Congratulations Holly and Bryan!
WOW! Here is a wonderful couple to photograph! So full of expression and so in love. Bryan and Holly have been a pleasure to work with from the beginning, and through the engagement session and wedding, it's been fun forming a friendship with them. Their wedding was very nice with lots of emotion (I love those!). Then they had a rockin reception at Heathrow Country Club.
Congratulations you two and glad you had an great time in Maui!!

Susie and Jeremy's bridal shoot
This weekend we did a really fun bridal shoot with Susie and Jeremy. They've been married about a year-and-a-half, but we thought it would be fun to get dressed up again and take some time to make some really nice bridal portraits. We worked in Winter Park, along Park Avenue, which is obviously one of our favorite places to shoot. Then we went to a local restaurant called Urban Flats. The food there is excellent, but unfortunately, it was before hours, so food wasn't an option. But we did get some great shots in the restaurant. Susie and Jeremy did really well, and were very natural in front of the camera. The results were outstanding.

Angie and Rob's engagement session
This weekend we had the opportunity to work with Angie and Rob on their engagement session. It was such fun. We met early in the morning and started about 7 o'clock. They were so natural and they did wonderfully. One of my favorite parts of the shoot was when they were standing in between two lanes of early morning traffic, just hugging, kissing, and being in love, when a police officer drove slowly by, rolled down his window and yelled, "Get a room!" Then he laugued as he drove off. Angie and Rob are getting married at Mead Gardens in Winter Park in November. We're really looking forward to their wedding.
