Rolling 'cross the Midwest

Yesterday we returned home from a fantastic whirlwind trip through the Midwest. We started out in Van Wert, Ohio, at our dear friends' Brandy and Sticky's home.

I was privileged to finally get a Sticky haircut and let me tell you, it was worth the wait! The next three images are courtesy of Brandy and Sticky.

And Joy too, visited Brandy's friend Jordanne at the salon. I think we'll return to Van Wert every few weeks for haircuts.

Of course it was Easter weekend, so we were excited to celebrate with Graycen

And the proverbial self-timer shot....very very nice everyone!

Then we headed over to Indianapolis for the annual OSP Indy gathering where about 70 photographers from around the country gathered together for three days of fun and inspiration. On Wednesday I had the opportunity to spend about 3 hours addressing the group. These images are courtesy of Kevin Swan.

Buca di Beppo...best eggplant parmesan around!

Some of our most favoritist people in the world...

Celebrated with Timco's famous and delicious fajitas at Nate and Amanda's lovely home.

Speaking of Timco...while at OSP Indy, he gave us a surprise gift: an iPhone!!!!

Yes, our phones are almost 3 years old!! And the reason Timco says he wanted to give us one is that we have been his parents for the past couple of years and paying it forward...WOW! He's so thoughtful and giving :)

Then we headed over to Chicago to visit my brother Brandon and Maria and Mitchell. I'm sad to say, and quite embarrassed, in fact, that we didn't take any pictures in Chicago. It was blustery and cold and so most of the time our hands were in our pockets.

It was a great trip but we're thrilled to be home for a few days before we head out on Thursday for a fantastic wedding on the Island of Anguilla.

Great photographs, even the self timer shot went well. That is a feat in itself.

I am so glad we sneaked in the self-timer image. Otherwise it would have looked like we hung out in our pj's the entire time!! LOL!!!

So good to see you guys - the visit to VW was especially memorable. Can't wait to do it again soon=)

gotta say, anytime someone is going to cut my hair and is standing there talking to me with a HACKSAW sitting right behind him... id have a concerned look on my face too :) the caption should read

garrett - "just saw the hair, preferably not any skin"

sticky - "what about your ear over here, does this stay or go?"

garrett - "no, no, dont go below my hands right here"
