We had the amazing opportunity this week to attend engage09encore in Las Vegas. After we attended engage09 in June at the Ritz Carlton in Grand Cayman, we were super-excited about encore and were eager to go back.
Over the past three days many of the brightest wedding coordinators, photographers, designers, cake-makers, bridal salon owners, bloggers, motivators, creatives, and more gathered at the fabulous Wynn Encore in Las Vegas to share and inspire.
Rebecca and Kathryn and the amazing team at Engaging Concepts hosted the spectacular event, their fourth (all sold out) in just two short years.
The engage swag bags are ALWAYS worth the price of admission. WOW!
One of everyone's favorite resources is the attendee book, which includes a picture and contact info, AND the Twitter tag, of each attendee.
The welcome reception was held at the spa. It was truly one of the most inspiringly designed spaces I've ever encountered. Photographs absolutely do not do it justice, but please check it out online to see this place for yourself. Unbelievable!
Tuesday morning
Rebecca and Kathryn kicked things off in great fashion.
We were challenged by amazing speakers like Simon T. Bailey, who was recently named one of the Top 25 Speakers in the World!
There was plenty of good discussion throughout the morning. Attendees watch Rosalind explain Two Bright Lights. Check this revolutionary online networking tool out!
At each engage event I've attended, the food has been one of the most memorable experiences and this one was no exception!
After lunch a special gift from Paloma's Nest
The incomparable Marcy Blum, the "eventiste", shared her musings on the wedding industry.
The amazing Sean Low and Todd-Avery Lenahan delivered brilliant and inspiring presentations as well.
And the closing party was held at the amazing Blush Nightclub.
The finale was hosted by the one and only Randy Fenoli of Kleinfeld Bridal and TLC's Say Yes to the Dress and the incomparable Sylvia Weinstock of Sylvia Weinstock Cakes. The pair thrilled the crowd with an encore performance from their unheralded dance-off four months ago in Grand Cayman.
Joy and Rebecca
Joy and Ms. Sylvia, who so graciously shared her advice on everything from business to parenting to being culturally aware and appreciating the beauty of diversity.
Joy and Carla of Carla David Designs
And after a day of being inspired, challenged, moved and motivated, we returned to our room to this:
Engage wrapped Wednesday morning with a come and go breakfast that was absolutely delectable.
To Rebecca and Kathryn, thank you for providing such an amazing and ground-breaking opportunity. To the speakers, thank you for challenging and inspiring us. And finally to the attendees, thanks for your friendship and we look forward to next year at engage10 in Grand Cayman in June and The Breakers in October!!!!

Since you're line of work involves dealing with hundreds of photos, on a daily basis, I wander if you would need a solution to eliminate the repetitive and mundane tasks (like watermarking, resizing, converting, and so on)? I humbly suggest our own solution, BatchPhoto (www.batchphoto.com). If interested please contact us from our site.
Love this post!
