The scene from last evening...
The City of Collegedale and the East Tennessee Symphony Orchestra's annual July 4th Celebration.
Freshly baked chocolate chip, Heath bar and pecan cookies from some of our friends!
The Symphony Orchestra
The sky is ablaze...
The finale.
Good night.
As I write this evening, the sky outside our house is filled with the colorful blasts of celebration. We've spent the last 45 minutes watching out our window and finally took Graycen upstairs to bed so she's not a zombie tomorrow.
As folks across the country celebrate our independance, let us pause to reflect on the price of our freedom. Sure, gas prices are high, and food has become more expensive, but we are truly blessed...as individuals and as a nation.
So send up a special prayer this evening as you climb into your comfortable bed, for the men and women who fight the fight as they risk themselves every single day so that we can be free.

Wonderful post. It's good to be reminded in the midst of celebration for quiet reflection and thankfulness. We are all truly blessed.
And my! Graycen has gotten so big and is more beautiful everyday. Hope everyone is well!
