Watching the Academy Awards is always so inspiring. People living their dreams in one very magical and special night. We were so excited when the song, "Falling Slowly" from the movie, Once received an Oscar last night. BEAUTIFUL song, it is a must listen and go out and rent the movie :)

The magical, inspiring moment:

The song:

Graycen has already learned the tune...maybe we'll video it sometime :)

Dude...one of my favorite movies in a long time! Did you hear what Marketa said once John Stewart gave her the mic? Inspiring!

haha! I screamed in delight when I saw this on the Oscars last night! Can you believe Jer and I watched this movie the other night and did not realize it was nominated? I told him yesterday that the music was SOOO good that it should be nominated for an Oscar. When I screamed, Jeremy came running in thinking someone we KNOW must be on TV! So funny!!!

So happy for Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova. The speech brought tears to my eyes. They are so genuine and deserving.

I completely agree! It's great to see out-of-the-norm people win. And it's so neat that they are not only the musicians for the movie, but the actors, too, which gives the song so much more feeling & passion. ...AND they really are an item! Love them! I jumped off the couch screaming, too!

Let's just say, here in Ireland, the entire country is not only dancing in delight, but screaming a nice "HA!" at the rest of the world. :) I've been a Glen Hansard fan for years, and I always hoped the Frames would find greater success in the States. Maybe now they will.

SO EXCITED!!
