New Year's Resolution: specifically reading

We have many many many New Year's Resolutions and goals for 2008, but one thing that really sticks out in our minds is to read more. I am a book freak and I even had a library bookcase complete with a rolling ladder in FL...but I found in 2007 I barely read! I was too busy running around with photography stuff. Even though I will be doing the same thing this year, I will definitely be making more time to really READ this year...read at LEAST 10 books this year, (I once read 40 books in one year!)

One of the Christmas gifts I received from Garrett is The Devil Wears Prada book:

I usually read the book first, then watch the movie, but after reading first then seeing the movie, "The Notebook" and being disappointed by the movie's ending, (the book's was way better! It always is!!) I have decided to watch movies first, then read books, (saving the best for last).

So when I watched "The Devil Wears Prada" and loved the movie so much, Garrett knew to get me the movie for Christmas last year, then I have been meaning to read the book for awhile now, and alas I received it this Christmas! The really cool thing is that we will be meeting Lauren Weisberger, the author, sometime in the next couple of months for a shoot. Did you know she's engaged? :) She has a third novel coming out this summer, so be on the lookout for it!

Garrett has already started with his resolution as most people know reading is not his favorite hobby. But he is reading a really fantastic book called:
"Small Giants: Companies That Choose to Be Great Instead of Big:

What will you be reading in 2008? (for personal and/or business) We'd love to add it to our growing list!

You absolutely will not be disappointed by that book Joy!!! I cannot stand to read but I read that in 2 days and have seriously considered reading it again.

Garrett's book looks like a GREAT one for Stick. He received some good ones for Christmas as well. Maybe they can do a trade in Vegas=)

eat. pray. love.

That is one of the books I received for Christmas. It is already amazing and I'm only about 50 pages in. Since you are always traveling...you would LOVE it. =) I LOVE to read as well. Send me any book ideas for this year. I have about 15 books lined up on my shelves...unread.
