Cheryl and Ken.....married! Finally.

This one's been a long time coming. Ken and Cheryl finally tied the knot, and did so in grand fashion at The Farm in Dalton, Georgia.

There are few people who have had such a positive impact on Joy and me. Ken was the university chaplain for as long as I can remember, and just last year he moved to Walla Walla, Washington to become the Vice President for Student Services. Cheryl and Ken had been great friends for 13 years and once he moved west he realized what, or more appropriately, whom, he was missing.

When we were in school at Southern Ken was always busy coordinating worship services, outreach ministries and mission projects. He was a true friend to thousands of students in his time at Southern. And after I graduated and joined him as a staff member at the university we were team-mates on the golf team.

Cheryl, unfortunately, we haven't had the opportunity to know as well. But she is a beautiful lady, inside and out, and God bless her, for putting up with Ken for so long! I guess she knows what she's getting into. Hahaha.

The father of the bride.

Pastor Ken's little granddaughter. What a sweetheart.

Laughter was the scene for most of the day. It was truly a joyous occasion for everyone involved.

One of their guests, a physician, gave them a bottle of Viagra for their wedding gift.

The wedding was indeed a magical celebration. And on a personal note it was fun for us to be there as photographers and guests, running into several of our friends.

Here are Joy and Maria Sager, her dear friend and religion teacher from high school. Maria is a brilliant actress and she was one of our first portrait subjects many years ago. She confessed that she still has the pictures, but I'm hopeful that she isn't using them anywhere.

And of course a humorous run-in with Kelli Higgins, one of our beautiful brides from more than 2 years ago. Wow, time flies!

To Cheryl and Ken, we wish you all the blessings in the world. You are surrounded by a huge loving family of friends. Congratulations and may God Bless you always.
