Fong visits Orlando

Monday evening Gary Fong kicked off his "One Step Ahead" tour in Orlando. We were excited to be able to attend. Gary shared some of his principles for better business, as well as some of his new products that will be hitting the market-place in the near future. About 200 people attended. We were priviliged to meet some new photographer friends and also see several friends that we hadn't seen in a while.

Video interview added to website

We're excited to introduce a new project that we've been working on for the past couple months. Since many of our clients come from across the country and it isn't always feasible for us to meet before-hand, we've added a video interview to our website. It's a brief two-and-a-half minute clip that gives clients the opportunity to "meet" us without leaving their computer.

We'd like to give a special thanks to the people who made the video possible: Rick Turner for shooting, Brian Shephard for shooting and editing, Paul Martin for doing the web conversion, Rob and Angie Griffith for letting us shoot at your wedding, and everyone else who is pictured. May God continue to bless you all.

You'll find the video on our website under the "Interview" link. Please check it out and let us know what you think.

Diana and Thomas

Congratulations you two! What a beautiful wedding, everything from the bride and groom, to the locations and details. Spectacular!

The wedding took place in the beautiful First United Methodist Church in downtown Orlando and reception was in the Grand Ballroom of Church Street Station. Just gorgeous.
And we want to recognize Tracy Marini of www.eventfully-yours.com, who we work closely with and also served as Diana's wedding coordinator. What an outstanding job Tracy and Edna did!

Outstanding workshop to launch 2006!

On Monday and Tuesday I had the priviledge to attend the Joe Buissink and Yervant workshop in Miami. The event was sponsored by GraphiStudio, the company that we’ve partnered with to produce our wedding albums.

It was also exciting to meet Ulysses and Jenni, a husband and wife photography team from New York. U, as he is affectionately known, and Jenni are really active on the Digital Wedding Forum and they’re genuinely good people and are also good friends with Joe and Yervant.

As true masters of their craft, Joe and Yervant are generally seen as two of the premier photographers in the world. Yervant comes from Australia and he’s won nearly every award a wedding photographer can win. Joe is from Southern California and he’s photographed the weddings of Kelsey Grammer, Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, Christina Applegate, Hillary Swank and Christina Aguilera, just to name a few. While Joe’s style is very photojournalistic, Yervant’s is much more fashion-like.

The insights these two have into the world of wedding photography are just astounding. Of course I took pages and pages of notes and can’t wait to review them over the next few days. This is indeed an inspiring way to start out the year.

Photo Comments: The shots of the bride were shot with our new Nikon D200, with a 2.8, 70-200mm VR lens, standing in the corner on my tip toes shooting over the heads of about 40 other photographers...including Yervant himself....LOL. All available light!

Colt ~ Senior Photoshoot

I can't believe we just did senior portraits with Colt. I remember babysitting him when he was one year old! LOL...I won't tell too much because it would embarass him...and me. Anyhow, it was so much fun. He really did great and we totally got a different style senior portrait, while still capturing his unique talents and personality. Awesome shoot, Colt!
